Improving Accessibility in Online Education: Comparative Analysis of Attitudes of Blind and Deaf Students Toward an Adapted Learning Platform

People with different capacities, such as the deaf and blind, have problems accessing educational content due to lack of accessible technology. Accessibility usability are closely related concepts that share goals for a satisfactory user experience. Existing literature establishes direct relation between accessibility usability, reports there both in learning platforms, more generally most websites. The objective this paper is evaluate platform by interrogating its participants. Three groups students capacities (blind, deaf-blind) used an prototype assess contents. This article presents comparative study perception attitude blind towards use adapted their personal needs. Results showed adaptation was very positive but were differences ease application level difficulty access content. work contributes body knowledge showing effects adaptations on contents terms through analysis perceptions Future may consider increasing sample students, well developing testing new technologies approaches address other forms functional diversity.
